BIS (India) LTD made an auspicious beginning in the year 1976, at a time when Pvt Security was in its most nascent stage. Its visionary Founder Shri R N Singh,MLC could forsee its role & importance in years to come as a valuable adjunct to Police & Para Police Forces inmeeting the internal security demands of the country. Since then BIS has been a trail blazer & a dominant player in its field.

Over the years BIS grew from strength to strength. By a very professional approach & by making value additions to meet the ever growing demands of the Clients,BIS forged ahead with steely resolve & determination to become one of the Premier Agencies of India.

As on date BIS has 57 fully operational Branches spread over the length & breadth of India & has its presence in the far flung areas of Himanchal, Assam, Arunchal, Meghalay & Sikkim.It has a workforce of 45000 fully trained, physically fit & mentally robust Security Guards(SGs) who are the cutting edge of the Organisation.

Today BIS name is synonymous with quality & trustworthy Security Service. Besides providing the entire gamut of security related services, BIS offers’ total security solutions’ to its esteemed Clients to ensure their 100% satisfaction. By judicious mix of ‘electronics & manpower’ BIS creates an impregnable security shield over the Premises of the Clients. BIS has the unique honour of having ISO 2018 – 9001:2015 Certification & CRISIL Rating– ‘A - /Stable outlook with highest performance capability & high financial strength’. BIS has a very healthy Balance Sheet with an annual turnover of Rs. 715 Crores. BIS is the only Agency in India having 150 ‘per – pro’ licensed guns on its charge.

BIS maintains ‘round the clock’ with well positioned ‘Quick Reaction Teams’(QRTs) in all Branches ensure timely reaction & quick mobilization to meet any unforseen eventuality .Thus BIS fully ratifies the sanctity of its Punch Line ‘Security Never Sleeps’.

BIS most distinctive feature is it being fully compliant to all the statutory obligations in full & within the laid down time schedule. It ensures SGs are paid wages in time ( not less than Minimum Govt Notified wages) & are covered by PF, Gratuity ,ESIC, Bonus, etc. BIS has a very sound infrastructure with a large fleet of 2 wheeler & 4 wheeler vehicles to provide full mobility to its operational team. To ensure full road worthiness of its vehicle fleet, BIS has its own ‘state-of-the-art ’ Garage wherein vehicles from all the Branches are repaired & serviced.

BIS is governed by a Board of Directors who function under CMD. There is very well defined layered ‘Command & Control’ set up to ensure proper response at appropriate levels. BIS has operational staff of more than 2000 officers/executives (from Area officers to Managers (ops) under Branch Heads) who maintain ‘round the clock’ vigil on the efficient & smooth functioning of the ‘ground level’ operations.

After careful selection, keeping in view the QRs laid out in PASARA , BIS SGs are put through a month long rigorous training at number of Training Centres ( major ones being at Karjat-Maharashtra, Khandawa-MP & Bharauli-UP) known as Institutes of Intelligence & Security Management (IISMs) which are run on the lines of Police/Para Police Forces Training Academies and are also affliated with CAPSI. These IISMs were established in 1980,much before PASARA came in force.

BIS also runs Training Capsules for executives of all levels. Once a quarter all Branch Heads meet at Corporate Office wherein all important issues are discussed & they are updated with the latest rules & regulation and developments in the field of Pvt Security. Regular Seminars are also held as brainstorming sessions. BIS also publishes a House Magazine every quarter. For the welfare of its employees & SGs, BIS maintains a Welfare Fund & manages a Credit Society which extends financial assistance to all employees in case of any illness or accident & also provides loan ( upto Rs.3 lacs ) on low interest rate.
